Das Heilige und das Profane liegen in der Inszenierung von De Gruyter & Thys für die Kunsthalle Basel dicht beieinander. Sie spielen die Aura des Erhabenen gegen das Phänomen von Kunst als Massenware aus und führen den Glauben an den Bedeutungsgehalt der künstlerischen Schöpfung ad absurdum.
