About
The art magazine for Switzerland
Kunstbulletin has been a cornerstone for sound and professional art critique in Switzerland since 1968. The handy print format is its central and defining medium. The most widely read Swiss art magazine is published ten times a year, reporting on selected contemporary art exhibitions and events nationwide, and occasionally internationally. Supported by a wide network of freelance writers, we provide reviews and context for exhibitions, we showcase artists and we provide a platform for art professionals. You will also find calls for proposals, job advertisements in the cultural sector and a detailed agenda of exhibitions.
In touch with the world of art across all media
Art enthusiasts and experts are currently active on all possible media channels, and we are too. The content of all issues has been archived at kunstbulletin.ch since 1998. With profiles of artists, writers, curators and information on institutions, art and construction, exhibitions and events, the relational database is an indispensable research tool for Swiss art.
We have been gathering data on current exhibitions and art in the public arena for “art lovers on the move” since 2021 in the free web app artlist.net. This enables you to find out about the current cultural range in real time, wherever you are. There is also the e-journal Kunstbulletin weekly, launched in 2023, which you can order free of charge to your mailbox too. In it, we provide weekly tips for your cultural agenda as well as hand-picked reviews and background information, all in a compact format.
The driver for the content
Kunstbulletin is a non-profit company and is largely financed by subscriptions and advertisements. Other valuable forms of support come from partnerships in the context of the online platform and sponsors of the e-journal.
The publisher of Kunstbulletin is the non-profit Swiss Art Association, and its members can subscribe at a preferential price. We provide special offers with extended services for artists, art specialists and institutions. Those wishing to become involved with Kunstbulletin have the opportunity to become a Kunstbulletin patron.
In whichever way you support us, we would like to thank you very much for your interest and your contribution.
