TRANSFORMATION

Through the interplay of rigid and grace along with dark and light, the works echo a gentle space and aura where sculptures and paintings embrace the viewer and harmonic transformation can be found. Pieter Obels works with Corten steel, yet what his works convey above all is light and elegance as he bends the steel into extraordinarily delicate and winding shapes; creating a yin and yang of the same material. French artist-duo Todd & Fitch (Nicolas Todd and Damien Fitch) creatively integrate the illusion of light and patterns into their installation-like paintings. Similarly, Wim Ricourt's touches of paint on Aluminum canvas play with light creating an ambiguity of perception instigating a surprising dialogue.
